Richard Romano’s Debut Film The Investigator

The brother of famed comedic TV personality and actor Ray Romano, Richard Romano is a former police sergeant for the New York Police Department. Also a movie enthusiast and critic, Richard Romano recently released a film entitled The Investigator based on his own original screenplay.

Inspired by true events in the life of Richard Romano, the film follows policeman Sergeant James Buanacore, who is forced to retire from the department after a drug bust under his watch ends in tragedy. Taking a position at a local Christian high school, he becomes a criminal justice teacher and baseball coach to rebellious students. Although initially unwelcome in the new world in which he finds himself, James Buanacore finds new purpose through his students, and although he is no longer a police investigator, he ultimately finds himself leading the most crucial investigation of his life.

The Investigator released on September 13, 2013. The audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes stands at 73 percent, which reflects great satisfaction from viewers.
